St. Tammany Home Builders Association general membership, networking social planned

The St. Tammany Home Builders Association has two important meetings scheduled during the week ahead. The general membership meeting will be Feb. 11, and a Business After Hours networking social will be Feb. 13.

Sponsored by Bayou Title Inc., the membership luncheon will be held Feb. 11, 11:45 a.m., at Benedict's Plantation, 1144 North Causeway Blvd., Mandeville. The guest speaker will be St. Tammany Parish Tax Assessor Louis Fitzmorris.

The Business After Hours will be held Feb. 13, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Habitat for Humanity-St. Tammany West ReStore, 1400 North Lane, Mandeville. The ReStore also will be accepting donations and purchases may be made at that time.

This After Hours event is even more special, as it will coincide with the 6:30 p.m. Early Bird drawing for the Raising the Roof for Charity House being built by the St. Tammany HBA. 

Tickets still are on sale and construction is under way for the 2014 Raising the Roof for Charity Raffle House. Tickets are $100 each, with the prize being a beautiful three-bedroom home with more than 2,600-square-feet of living area, valued at approximately $600,000.

Raising the Roof for Charity Raffle House is an annual event conducted by St. Tammany Home Builders Association. Each year, members give their time, talents and energy to design and build a home to benefit local charities, and more than $4.7 million has been given to the charities. Benefiting from this year's 2014 Raffle House are the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana, The Good Samaritan Ministry, Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West, and St. Tammany Hospital Foundation.
